Mini-Grant Funding for
Scientific Research

The Cure Blau Syndrome Foundation is proud to offer mini-grants to support innovative scientific research that advances understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of Blau syndrome. These small grants are designed to empower researchers at all levels—from students and early-career scientists to experienced investigators—to pursue bold ideas that can make a difference in the lives of individuals with Blau syndrome.

Funding Overview

  • Grant amount: Up to $10,000

  • Eligibility: Open to researchers, clinicians, and students affiliated with academic institutions, hospitals, or nonprofit organizations worldwide

  • Focus areas:

    • Disease mechanisms

    • Biomarker discovery

    • Therapeutic development

    • Patient-centered studies

    • Data analysis of existing patient registries or case series

    • Mini-grant funding may be used to support new or ongoing research efforts, including costs for laboratory supplies (e.g., reagents, test tubes, assay kits), data analysis, or other essential project materials.

Application Details

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year

  • A simple proposal format is required (1-2 pages), including:

    • Project description and goals

    • Budget overview

    • Timeline (projects should aim to be completed within 12 months)

  • Priority will be given to projects with clear translational potential—those that bridge the gap between laboratory research and real-world clinical impact.

  • Please include documentation of IRB approval with your application.
